It is our mission that every student experience self-mastery through martial art for the sake of serving the one true Master - Jesus Christ.
To the beginner, kicks, strikes, takedowns and submissions just look like fighting. As the student begins to discipline themself, each technique appears more complex and nuanced. Mastery is achieved by chiselling away all the unnecessary, wasted motion until the techniques are prefected. You know when you see a master in motion; it is like music come alive to the eye.
In a smilar way, Jesus challenged us to be perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48. Of course, he knew we couldn’t do this on our own, but he will perfect us the more we surrender our will to His. We only have to be willing to allow Him to chisel away at all that is impure about us, so He can shape the masterpiece He intends us to be out of our hearts of stone. Ezekiel 36:26
